How to find and understand your vision insurance benefits

Step 1
Determine if your vision insurance is covered through an overall health insurance plan or an independent provider. If you are covered through an employer, contact their human resources department to confirm your insurance provider’s details.

Step 2
Sign in to your vision insurance provider’s website. (You may need to create a new account if you have not registered with your insurance provider online before.)

Step 3
Explore the resources available on your provider's website to locate your vision coverage details and benefits (e.g., eye exams, frames, lenses, contacts, and more). Save this information in a safe place for future reference. 


If you have questions about your vision insurance coverage: Call the customer service number listed on your provider’s website or on your insurance card (if one was issued to you).
